AUC: THE HEARTBEAT OF BLACK EXCELLENCE

Gammon is steps away from the Atlanta University Center (AUC), the largest and most prestigious consortium of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The AUC has been a cradle of leadership for over a century, producing scholars, theologians, and activists who have shaped history.

With institutions like Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Spelman College, and the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), the AUC fosters an environment of intellectual rigor, faith-based activism, and cultural pride. Gammon’s connection to the AUC ensures students are part of a rich Black theological thought and leadership tradition.

WALKING IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF JUSTICE

Atlanta is the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and home to many defining moments of the Civil Rights Movement. As a Gammon student, you’ll be able to engage deeply with this legacy through immersive learning, community partnerships, and advocacy work.

  • The Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church – The spiritual home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Ebenezer remains a beacon for justice and community transformation.

  • The King Center and Dr. King’s Birth Home: Walk the same streets where Dr. King grew up and reflect on the faith that fueled the Civil Rights Movement.

  • The National Center for Civil and Human Rights – A powerful space dedicated to advancing justice and global human rights.

Atlanta is not just a city—it’s a movement. And at Gammon, you are called to be part of it.
