Welcome to Gammon 3.0
A Message from Rev. Dr. Candace M. Lewis
President & CEO
At Gammon, our mission in theological education is to provide academic and degree-granting programs that help prepare individuals who understand their vocation as working in partnership with God in forming a just and generative world for all, for the practice of Christian ministry and public leadership.
As President and CEO, I work closely with our faculty, staff, and partners to align every part of our work with Gammon’s mission to shape prophetic leaders for a just and generative world.
Gammon 3.0 is more than a vision; it’s a movement grounded in our legacy as the only Historically Black Theological Institution (HBTI) of The United Methodist Church. Through our values of openness, calling, legacy, and connection, we are fulfilling our vision of educating and equipping persons called by God to be prophetic leaders for the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Gammon 3.0 requires strategy, accountability, and an urgent sense of hope in executing the collective work of:
-
Advancing Accreditation Readiness & Institutional Excellence
-
Growing Enrollment & Championing Student Success
-
Strengthening Academic Programs & Innovation
-
Securing Our Future through Fund Development & Mission Advancement
Through intentional collaboration and a clear strategic plan, we are building a fully accredited, financially sustainable Gammon by 2030.
