About Gammon's Open House
Join Gammon Theological Seminary for exciting updates on our MDiv program offerings!
This event is designed to provide leaders with valuable opportunities and resources to explore the possibilities of theological education at Gammon Theological Seminary. We invite you to discover how our programs can support your spiritual and vocational development. Additionally, we’ve created space for engaging, theologically rich conversations that will empower you to explore ministry paths rooted in justice, equity, and social impact.

MEET DR.
KYLAN PEW
Director of Student Affairs & Interim Director of Recruitment & Admissions
Dr. Pew is a double graduate of Gammon Theological Seminary at the ITC, a trusted voice in the church and the academy, and a leading scholar focused on vocational discernment. His leadership at Gammon embodies both Sankofa practices and innovation, guiding future leaders through spiritual formation and academic excellence.
“At Gammon, we are not just interpreting scripture; we are helping students discern their call and lead with justice, faith, and purpose.”

MEET DR. CANDACE M. LAUGHINGHOUSE
Faculty & Student Advisement
Scholar, activist, theologian, and musician Dr. Laughinghouse brings a prophetic and interdisciplinary lens to theological education, engaging theology, race, environment, and worship. Her current work deconstructs Christian Nationalism in Black Gospel music and examines memory, liturgy, and liberation. As a mentor, advisor, and minister, she embodies a deeply womanist ethic of care and critical engagement.
“My classroom is a sacred space for decolonizing, dreaming, and disciplining.”

MEET DR. BARANDA FERMIN
Director of Online Learning & Institutional Effectiveness
Dr. Fermin is a strategic innovator, healer, and advocate with 25+ years of leadership experience across education, nonprofits, and social impact ecosystems. With advanced degrees from Michigan State, Columbia, and Iliff, they bridge the academic and practical with a commitment to sacred space, spiritual formation, and systems transformation.
