Student Complaint and Grievance Procedure
Gammon Theological Seminary takes student complaints seriously and is committed to addressing them fairly, promptly, and without retaliation. Students who submit formal complaints can expect written acknowledgment, appropriate review, and communication regarding the resolution or status of their complaint.
The Seminary is committed to providing students with a fair and accessible process for raising concerns about their educational experience and their interactions with Seminary programs, services, policies, and personnel.
Whenever possible and appropriate, students are encouraged to address a concern directly with the faculty member, staff member, or office involved. We recognize, however, that some concerns cannot be resolved informally or may require formal institutional review.
Not Sure Where Your Complaint Belongs? Start Here.
All complaints begin in the Office of Executive Administration (OEA) and should be brought as soon as possible after the most recent incident. The resolution goal of creating conversational space for resolution between the student and the other involved person is always a priority.
How Do I Submit a Formal Complaint?
A formal student complaint must be submitted in writing. No special form is required.
The written complaint should include:
-
The specific action, decision, practice, or concern being challenged;
-
A description of how the matter has affected the student;
-
Any steps already taken to address or resolve the concern;
-
The resolution the student is requesting; and
-
Any relevant documentation that will assist in reviewing the complaint.
Students should also provide current contact information so that the Seminary can communicate with them regarding the complaint.

Formal student complaints may be submitted by email to:
